What an amazing, busy and exhausting few days we had bringing in our honey this week. Of course, I took quite a few pictures that I will be posting over the next little bit so you can see what we did.
Firstly, I want to thank my amazing husband for being my partner in crime to make this honey harvest happen. He lifted heavy things, moved hives, expertly opened the frames for extraction and kept me going when my body failed me.
Here is Jarrod opening a frame up for extraction.
Secondly, I would like to thank Laura for her hard work in sorting out our packaging and preparing the honey for sale to you, our customers. It is now in her expert hands and will be ready for pick up in a couple of weeks (please watch for updates).
And last, but certainly not least….our customers! Our honey has been a hit because of you. We have sold out of our entire harvest before we even had it out of the hives. We had an amazing first year, all things considered, but we could have sold out harvest twice over thanks to your enthusiam. We will be expanding next year and we hope to be able to fill your requests then.
Honey transfer in Sparwood, BC. Onward for packaging!
From our house, to yours…. we wish you a successful fall.
